From Monday, 15 September to Friday, 3 October 2025, the Hellenic Supreme Joint War College (HSJWC) organized and operated, on its premises, the International Joint Operations Planning Course (IJOPC 25).
The purpose of the course was to educate senior officers of allied and friendly countries in operational planning procedures in multinational – joint environment.
At the same time, and with the aim of developing Officer’s judgment, a series of cognitive subjects with Greek content in Art of War were briefly taught, such as inductive reasoning, system, critical and creative thinking, Xenophon’s work Anabasis, and the Battle of Marathon (490 B.C.).
The course trainees were given a tour of Thessaloniki and the Museum of the Royal Tombs of Aigai (Vergina).
A total of 14 Senior Officers from Armenia (1), Australia (1), Austria (1), Cyprus (2), Czech Republic (2), Egypt (1), Estonia (1), Georgia (1), Greece (1), Poland (2) and Zambia (1), were participated at the course.
Instructors from the HSJWC, and officers from the Hellenic Armed Forces facilitated teachings.
The course was successfully completed and all participants received the required certification.
