Major General (ret.) Dr. Antonios Avgerinos, President of the Hellenic Red Cross (HRC) and Vice President of the European Red Cross and Red Crescent Network (ERNA), visited the Supreme Joint War College (SJWC) and delivered a lecture on “The mission of the Hellenic Red Cross”, to Class 2026.
On Wednesday 12 of November 2025, Major General Vasileios Broumas, Commander of the Hellenic Air Force Support Command (HAFSC), visited the SJWC, where he gave a lecture on “The contribution of Hellenic Air Force Support Command in the mission of the Hellenic Air Force.”
In addition, the HSJWC, and the European Security and Defence College (ESDC) organized the Course for the Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP), titled “The challenges of Securing Maritime Areas in the European Union,” from Monday 10 to Thursday 13 of November 2025. Thirty students from Belgium (1), Cyprus (1), France (2), Greece (22), Slovenia (1) and Spain (3) attended the course.
The course objective was to educate students about issues related to the European Union’s Maritime Security Strategy (EUMSS). Distinguished academics, researchers and Officers who participated in EU Missions at sea gave lectures.
All students received certification from the European Security and Defence College (ESDC).
