Common Security and Defense Policy Orientation Course of the European Union

From Monday, 9 to Friday 13 March 2026, the Hellenic Supreme Joint War College under the auspices of the European Security and Defense College (ESDC) organized on its premises the Common Security and Defense Policy (CSDP) Orientation Course of the European Union.

Its objective was to provide participants with an introductory understanding of the European Security and Defense Policy.

A total of thirty-one (31) Officers and Civilians from Cyprus, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Spain and Sweden were participated at the course program.

The course focused on understanding the issues related to the Common European Security and Defense Policy (CSDP) as an integral part of the European Union’s Common Foreign and Security Policy. Its aim was to provide participants with a broad understanding of the institutional framework of the current policies with a particular emphasis on Crisis Management.

Distinguished personalities, academics and professors from Greece and EU countries honored the course with their presence. Also, representatives of academia and European Organizations analyzed issues related to the course.

All participants received certification from the European Security and Defence College (ESDC).
